I have a question that perplexes me. I work in a middle school and I often wonder why girls dress the way they do. I am not judging or anything like that I just don't understand why they have the need to come to school half dressed. Can anyone fill me in? GBU!

If I might add my two cents - I believe girls are dressing as they do - rather provocatively - because the media has made them think they must look a certain way to be loved and accepted. It started long before the Brittany Spears of this generation - even before the Madonna's of the eighties - even before the Farah Faucets of the seventies! I think it started in the sixties with Marilyn Monroe - who might be the first real 'very *weird* person star' - before her there were plenty of pin up girls - but none pushed the envelope like she did in the mainstream media at that point.
Over the decades - so-called harmless sexual innuendo became blunt and forward sexual messages - low cut dresses became wide open fronts to the navel - and so on and so on -
Its all so sad - and I cant wait for Christ to return to end this desecration of beauty and innocence.

Thanks Chris, although I had not put as much detail to my question, once again you filled in the pieces. God rox and if any young lady or old should read this thread, I pray they find it in their hearts to look beyond the physical and into their spiritual self.

[glow=blue,2,300]Okay Chris, but, what if you actually LIKE having your belly showing? I feel comfortable that way, and at the same time I know it's "attractive" to some.
Besides, how would Christ end it? People can still wear what they want as long as it's not OVERLY showy. Like with her pants down to her crotch, thong hanging out, three quarters of her breasts popping out etc.[/glow]

Is there really something wrong with showing a bit of skin? Remember Diana, according to you we were naked before we sinned, so nudity shouldn't be such a big deal to you.[/glow]
